- your guide to Effective medical education
Learn from the experts
Organisations spend significant funds conducting medical education programmes aimed at healthcare professionals (HCPs). Teams or individuals who develop these programmes may solely value commercial goals, not educational goals, or may be new and unfamiliar with learning theories. Many medical education programmes are not aimed at verified educational needs and their effectiveness is often not measured. The result can be low attendance or interest in the education, and no evidence of its success.
By implementing an outcomes-driven approach that addresses genuine educational needs, your programmes will be relevant, targeted and measurable, meaning more of the right HCP learners will access your programme, and you’ll be able to assess whether it impacts their knowledge or practice.
Is this for me?
The MedEdPrep programme is intended for anyone delivering an educational message to HCPs – from pharmaceutical companies (Medical Affairs and Commercial divisions) to commercial or not-for-profit organisations focused on healthcare communications to interprofessional educators and continuing health education administrators, managers and leaders.
